7 Myths People Actually Believe About Cruise Holidays

0

1. Cruise Holidays Are Expensive

It’s certainly true:

There was a time when cruising was mega-expensive, a travel choice just for the super-rich. But it’s safe to say times have changed!

With the number of cruise lines ever growing, it also means a growth in competition. This forces cruise lines to drive their prices down, making cruising more affordable than ever!

But that’s not just it,

A new era of cruising is on the horizon. Freestyle cruising is rapidly expanding, offering passengers a casual alternative to formal cruising. With no set dining times and no dress codes. And so, cruise companies are lowering their prices to appeal to a new type of cruiser.

However, whether freestyle cruising or formal cruising, the value for money is extraordinary. Just think about what’s included:

  • Daily travel (without you even realizing)
  • Gourmet dining
  • Luxury accommodation
  • World-class shows and entertainment
  • 5* Facilities (Skydiving Simulators, Surfing Simulators, Robot Cocktail Bar, Spa’s…)

In fact, just last week I saw a seven-night cruise with MSC Cruises advertised for just $250.

Top Tip: One way to get particularly good cruise deals are to use comparison checkers like this (see below). They will find the cheapest cruise deal for you on any cruise line across the internet!

2. Cruise Ships Are Boring

I have to admit:

I believed this before taking my first cruise.

On the majority of cruises, you will stop at a port every two days (if not daily). So the majority of your days will be filled exploring the attractions and culture of the local destination you’re visiting.

However, for those days when you’re not in port, there are masses to do onboard. Bigger cruise ships are widely known for onboard innovation, with many facilities such as:

  • Skydiving simulators
  • Surfing Simulators
  • 10-story waterslides
  • Ice-skating rinks
  • Basketball courts
  • Bumper cars

Although you won’t find those facilities on every cruise ship, even the smaller more intimate cruise ships are packed with facilities and entertainment. With standard facilities such as:

  • Fitness and spa facilities
  • Broadway-style shows
  • Casinos
  • Live music bars (such as jazz bars)
  • Cookery classes

3. Cruising Isn’t For Kids

This next item shouldn’t even pop up.

Nonetheless, in case you’re wondering about it:

I began cruising when I was just thirteen years old.

And I can safely say, sailing onboard the MSC Splendida was one of the best experiences of my life. The ship was packed with facilities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, arcades, a 4d cinema and even an F1 racing simulator.

However, due to the type of child I was, I was quite happy with a mocktail in one hand and book in the other…I wasn’t really a normal child was I?

Additionally, there is now a cruise ship to suit every age category, from the young to the young at heart. Especially with the rise of multi-generational cruising. Family-friendly cruise lines such as Royal Carribean can provide a cruise holiday that can be enjoyed by the kids, mum, dad, and even grandma and grandad.

The reason they’re able to do this is due to the range of facilities onboard. For example, on some Royal Caribbean ships, you may have bumper cars on one floor, and robot-operated cocktail bars just on the next!

4. You Need To Pack Formal Wear

I will start this by saying:

I love dressing up on cruise holidays.

There’s something about the Hollywood glamour of getting dressed up in your finest, maybe it’s the luxury guru inside of me?

However, it’s not for everyone.

If dressing up it’s for you, there is an alternative. I spoke a bit earlier about the idea of freestyle cruising (quickly growing in popularity). Norwegian Cruise Line has been most well known in adopting this, offering a casual alternative to formal cruising. As part of this, there are no formal nights and no strict dress codes.

Yet, even more traditional cruise lines such as Cunard have slightly adapted the strictness of their dress code; meaning a casual suit or cocktail dress will be absolutely fine for formal dinners.

5. You’ll get seasick on a cruise holiday

I am the absolute worst when it comes to travel sickness, which is quite funny considering I’m a travel blogger! And yet, in all my years of cruising, I have never once experienced seasickness.

Why?

All modern day cruise ships are built with enormous stabilizers, completely minimizing all rocking motions. On my first cruise, I remember myself often forgetting we were even sailing. In fact, unless I was on the top deck or sitting by a window, I would never be able to tell when we left port.

As the general rule goes, the bigger the ship, the less likely you are to get seasickness. So if you’re traveling on a more intimate old cruise ship, it may be worth taking precautions.

If you’ve read my article on Seven Secret Apps For Your Cruise you’ll know I mention about an app called Seasickness. In case you haven’t read the piece, Seasickness assists you by making you focus on a sunset. And so, improving your balance.

Top Tip: When picking your cabin, to avoid seasickness I would always recommend staying in a balcony cabin. Also, make sure you choose a cabin that is positioned at the ships balancing point.

If under the rare circumstance you are feeling unwell, there is always an onboard hospital to assist with medical problems.

6. You’ll get fat on a cruise ship

With a 24-hour buffet available on most cruise ships, it’s no surprise that you may be concerned about gaining weight.

After all, with 6-course breakfasts, lunches and dinners, your normal diet may not be sustained. However, there are plenty of ways to keep fit and active onboard a cruise ship.

Modern cruise ships are packed with numerous sports facilities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, rock-climbing walls, surfing simulators and even running tracks. Making it much easier to keep active and sustain your weight, whilst enjoying the perks of gourmet dining.

A few years back, a friend of mine who is a cruise journalist wrote a piece on the possibility of losing weight onboard a cruise ship.  Throughout the week, she ate as she normally would on a cruise, but did a lot of exercise by using the onboard sports facilities.

Unfortunately, she didn’t manage to lose any weight, but was able to sustain her exact weight before and after the cruise.

7. You’ll feel trapped

Do you get claustrophobic?

The idea of being surrounded by thousands of passengers onboard a cruise ship can put many people off the idea of taking a cruise holiday. But what people tend to forget time and time again is just how big cruise ships actually are.

Although there are some cruise ships that cater for over 6,000 passengers, they also have over 20 decks. So with a vast amount of restaurants, bars, shopping centers, water parks, sports facilities and entertainment facilities, you will be blinded to the number of onboard passengers.

And if you’re ever needing a bit of time to yourself, you can of course head back to your balcony cabin (if you choose to stay in one) and relax. So grab a cocktail from the bar, reside back to your cabin, and enjoy the sea air as you relax on your spacious balcony.

True relaxation.

We love a good celebration and while nearly every nook and cranny of the United States will be enjoying the country’s birthday this year, nine communities in particular have big plans for America’s 240th.

Washington DC

Whether you are in Washington DC for the 4th of July or you are on the other side of the country, you can count on being able to see the fireworks from the nation’s capitol. A Capitol Fourth concert, hosted by PBS, has been celebrating America’s birthday with a bang for over three decades and this year looks to be just as grand.

Nashville, Tennessee

It wouldn’t be a birthday party without music and who better to bring the music than Nashville? Music City’s July 4th: Let Freedom Sing concert offers live music from top bands in the country, fun family activities, ice cream serving contests, and an epic fireworks show. The show will be the longest in Nashville’s history, firing more than 30,000 fireworks to the harmony played by the Nashville Symphony.

Portland, Oregon

With its most impressive musical line-up ever, the 28th Annual Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland, Oregon will be an event to remember. Over 100 musicians including Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Charmaine Neville and the Stone Foxes will be playing across four stages throughout the holiday weekend, making the nation’s premier blues festival. Proceeds also go to support the Oregon Food Bank and its mission to end hunger.

Honolulu, Hawaii

Birthdays don’t have to end after only one day and at Turtle Bay in Honolulu, America’s birthday lasts all weekend. From competing in a four to seven mile Da Hui Paddle Race, to chowing down on Kahlua pork at the Eat the Street event, to swinging your hips to live music, to oohing and awing at the fireworks finale, Honolulu locals and guests are sure to have a memorable 4th.

Preston, Minnesota

Preston Minnesota is known for its live reenactment of an 1899 Independence Day celebration. Take part in watermelon and pie eating contests, watch an 1860’s baseball game between Rochester Roosters and the Lanesboro Excelsiors, listen to political speeches and glee club performances from back in the day, and cheer on kids competeing in three-legged sack races.

Los Angeles, California

Not only is Los Angeles’ Queen Mary ship haunted, on July 4th it becomes a time machine. Between noon and midnight on the 4th, passengers are invited to explore any decade between 1910 and 2010. Each decade features live music, talented actors, dance lessons, games, and authentic cuisine and activities. Whether you find yourself entranced by one decade or are compelled to stroll through the entire previous century, the Queen Mary has everything you need to celebrate America’s birthday, including a show-stopping fireworks display after sunset.

Dallas, Texas

Looking for an event that has something fun for everyone to do, including the family dachshund? Look no further than the Frisco Freedom Fest in Frisco, Texas. Have kids? The Twenty-Seven-Flags Independence Day Celebration in Seattle, Washington will be rich in United States’ flag history and will have an insightful demonstration prepared for the holiday. Since the exhibit will only take a short part of the day, plan to see it in the morning, then head to Gas Works Park for Seattle’s traditional 4th of July celebration. Enjoy live entertainment, a beer garden, local food vendors, family activities, and the nation’s fifth largest fireworks display. If the crowds are overwhelming, skip over to the Seattle Children’s Museum for delicious art projects and crafts. Then finish the day at Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival, which takes place at the Center for Wooden Boats and watch the fireworks from a comfy spot on the water.

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Maybe BBQ isn’t your thing. How about pancakes? That’s what the 4th of July is all about in Santa Fe, New Mexico. How to Have a Luxurious Trip on a Small Budget

0

Thinking and imagining of traveling this season, most people will have at the mind relaxing or chilling with a cocktail and picture with perfect scenery. Prior to traveling, you need to plan for your journey first whether it will be budget or luxury. When you are planning, you need to remember that you do not need a big budget because a big budget means big spending.

What should I consider when choosing a destination?

Before you select which type of trip to undertake, whether luxury, you should have to consider the following

Looking for less expensive destinations to travel to

To many travelers, finding a destination that cannot drain your savings should be made a priority. Before you do anything, look at your savings before to choose the destinations to travel too.

Travel in Groups

For any safari lets say if you are to go gorilla trekking in Rwanda, Uganda or Congo, it will be more enjoyable and adventurous to trek since you will not get bored when you are with people who speak the same language. Travelling in group will help you save money as you will have to share some of the cost. These include transport fairs, tour guide salary, and at times accommodation if you are to book a twin or double room.

Look for discounted packages

You are advised to   look for packages with lower rates. In particular you should look at accommodation rates, transportation and the activities you will engage in during your travel. Many travel companies do display these discounted rates on their websites therefore, you should always look for discounted packages which may suit your savings.

Bed and Breakfast

When you are planning your safari, you should not opt for very expensive hotel. Today, with the advancement in technology you can stay in a very beautiful and less costly hotels which are locally termed as bed and breakfast.

To Flying or Not To Fly

We have advised many clients that it is not a must that when you are traveling to Uganda you have to get a flight. If you are traveling from the neighboring countries,  you can travel by road  such that you can save money.

The peak season

After saving, many tourists prefer traveling during this period of time.  At this time, almost all hotels are booked up.  Instead of being driven, you can go for a self drive when you are driving a rented car, you will be in position to save money.

Look for travel campaigns

There have   been travel campaigns being initiated online by companies and individuals since 2015. In these campaigns, trips do involve a big group of people to places like national parks for a weekend and most of them sleep in tents. In these campaigns, the accommodation, food, music and drinks are catered for on the money you pay.

Look for budget airlines

An air ticket is one of the major things that make traveling expensive, so be read to search for cheaper air fights. There a number of airline on line which offer cheap flights through the African continent. These can go as low as $200.

Where to Go Gorilla Trekking

0
Gorilla Trekking

Whatever you call it either gorilla trekking or tracking,it’s one of those really thrilling, lifetime experiences you should take time for before you leave planet earth.

Gorillas in Uganda are tracked in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Bwindi impenetrable national park has eighteen habituated families thus it can host 80 persons tracking gorillas per day since 8 persons are allowed to visit a given gorilla family per day while gorilla tracking in Rwanda is carried out only in volcanoes national park whose gorillas are the mostly wholly habituated and often found in bamboo than the dense forest which makes photographing easier.

Gorilla permits in Rwanda are very expensive compared to those of Uganda. In Rwanda, gorilla permits go to the tune of 750 USD per permit compared to Uganda’s 600 USD per permit. However Rwanda’s edge over others lies in the ability for one to go and track within one day and then fly back home on the same day since it’s a 2 hours drive from Kigali to volcanoes national park unlike Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable national park which lies a whooping 8 hours drive form Kampala which makes a one day tracking totally impossible.

Rwanda’s roads linking to volcanoes national park are generally tarmacked compared to Uganda’s roads heading to Bwindi impenetrable national park which are generally un bearable. However, the long drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park is endowed with great sceneries all through like the Equator, lake Mburo national park, abundant wildlife, terraced mountains with flowing rivers things that not exist on the Kigali drive to the volcanoes.

Hospitality wise, Rwanda ranks a head of Uganda on the gorilla tracking day. This is manifested in the staff conduct towards the visitors. At exactly 7:00 am, tea/coffee dispensers with cups are laid for the visitors going for the trek. One is free to take as much as he/she wishes and during that time, they are entertained by the lively traditional dance troupe [SACOLA Traditional Dancers] that portrays Rwanda’s rich culture while in Uganda, this tea is not served and the dance you enjoy it at an extra cost.

In terms of accommodation, both countries boast of great places to stay. Rwanda’s Sabinyo silverback lodge, mountain gorilla view lodge, gorilla nest camp are really very enticing to visitors. However, Uganda’s accommodation stand out of the crowd. These include; Silverback Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge, Gift of Nature Lodge, Jungle View Lodge, Volcanoes Safaris Bwindi Lodge.

The longer distance to and from Bwindi Forest Park and the international airport in Entebbe (just outside Kampala) add to your traveling costs on the Uganda side. The drive is further in Uganda, but it is scenic and offers insight into rural Africa. A gorilla trekking safari in Uganda can as well include spending time at beautiful Lake Bunyonyi close to Bwindi and game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha sector while the short drive in Rwanda is on the other hand not particularly scenic or interesting.

In Uganda the gorillas tend to be found deeper in the forest in groups of between 10 and 20, with at least one silverback. In Rwanda groups range between 9 and 39 gorillas including at least one silverback. The trekking itself is generally more challenging in Bwindi (Uganda) given that the gorillas are more tucked away and after viewing the gorillas you often have to ascend steep slopes out of the forests. In Rwanda some of the gorilla groups are often found closer to the park entrance, requiring a shorter hike. You can’t however request which gorilla groups you want to see and the location of the groups does shift further into the forests.

Rwanda and Uganda are politically stable at this moment. Rwanda recovered from the genocide that took place in the early 1990’s whereby the Volcanoes National Park can be visited safely, is well managed and has a permit system that is functioning efficiently. Uganda has also been very safe since their political war that ended in 1986. Bwindi forest is very safe and they also have an efficiently functioning permit system. However, in the DR Congo civil war and conflicts are a problem, and conditions need to be checked before you travel. Militia groups and the army are currently fighting in the Virunga area, where poachers threaten the gorilla populations and poverty is leading to habitat destruction. Some travel advisory organizations consider the area too volatile for travel and recommend avoiding the DRC at present.

Top 7 Unexpected Things On Cruise Ships

0

Even the most regular cruiser, is often shocked by what you can find onboard cruise ships. From Skydiving to Storm Troopers, the list is endless

7.A Gangplank

Reflecting on my time onboard the Norwegian Escape,  the most Adrenalin-pumping heart-throbbing moment was tiptoeing along the Gangplank. Peering overboard sent shivers down my spine. When I say Gangplank, I’m not exaggerating! On the top deck of the Norwegian Escape, features a full-size high ropes course. This incorporates a full-size Gangplank. In fact, passengers can get their photo taken braving the height.

6.Dodgem Cars

Spending 24 hours a day with your family and confined in a cabin at night, can make travels tense. The elongation of time you spend together can enhance individual qualities in everyone. Some of which you might find VERY annoying. Thus, what better way to relieve this tension than to crash into each other at the dodgems? Onboard some of the Royal Caribbean cruise ships, the SeaPlex houses its very own bumper car dodgems

5.Virtual Balconies

Waking up in darkness and not knowing whether it is early morning or late afternoon can be the spoiler on cruise ships. This experience can be gleaned by staying in an inside cabin. Which I now avoid at all costs. Originally created by Disney Cruises, the idea of a “Virtual Balcony” was formed. This was in order to offer inside cabin guests a similar experience to those staying in a balcony cabin. This concept is created by broadcasting live images onto the wall straight from outside of the ship. In recent years, Royal Caribbean has also adopted this facility to offer guests a unique experience

4.Skydiving

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum Class cruise ships may possibly be most famous for the RipCord experience. Who would ever think you could go skydiving onboard cruise ships? However, before you’re heart begins to have palpitations; you’re not really falling a great distance. That’s because this is, in fact, a skydiving simulator. Passengers are held inside a 23-foot high wind tunnel. With multiple extreme-power fans below you. Thus, allowing you to hover in the air. Billed as the facility where you can, “enjoy the sheer thrill and exhilaration of skydiving in a safe, controlled and simulated environment.”

3.Robots

In the 1960’s, many begin to predict the next decades, flying cars, robots etc. But who would have thought that nowadays it’s starting to become true? Onboard Royal Caribbean Quantum Class cruise ships, a brand new feature to the fleet has been added. A true one of its kind. The Bionic Bar. But this is no ordinary cocktail bar! In fact, at this bar cocktails are served by mechanical barmen. You’re correct in thinking by that I mean robots! Although you won’t get a smiley service (yet), it does guarantee speed.

2.Pandas

Royal Caribbean appears to have a bear thing happening on their cruise ships. Initially, it was the giant pink polar bear “Felicia” on Quantum of the Seas. However, now, a mother and cub pandas sit on the side of the Ovation of the Seas. You may be wondering why Royal Caribbean have a random obsession with bears? Yet, there is meaning behind it. Panda bears have been increasingly used as an emblem of China. This is due to the fact it’s the only country where giant Pandas live outside of captivity. With Quantum of the Seas being aimed at the Chinese market, it thus made sense to use Pandas as an emblem for the ship.

1.Storm Troopers

An original concept for Disney Cruise Line, Caribbean “Star Wars” themed-cruises have been created. This is featured onboard the Disney Fantasy. So what exactly does this include? During the voyage, the entire series shall be screened under the stars. Thus, providing an exciting and realistic atmosphere for the films. Additionally, many characters will be onboard. This includes members such as Darth Vadar, Chewbacca and the Storm Troopers. For those wanting to fully immerse into the star wars experience, passengers can attend the Jedi Training Academy. Here, they learn how to operate a Light Saber. However, if you’d rather relax, you can just soak in the sun and enjoy one of the famous Star Wars cocktails. Feel the force…at sea!

Rwanda is Evolving into a Luxury Safari Destination

0

Rwanda is one of the fast developing tourism destinations in Africa. Located in Central Africa, Rwanda has always been a peak tourist destination for gorilla trekking safaris in Africa and a reason for many to visit the “Land of Thousand Hills” a small cleanest country in East Africa region.

Today, Rwanda has turned into a luxury destination for gorilla safaris due to the increase of its gorilla permits from $750 to $1500 per a trek year round.  The announcement was made by Rwanda Development Board (RDB) on 6th May 2017 in Kigali. Taking you back, Volcanoes National Park is a home for mountain gorillas, six of the eight Virunga Volcanoes. The park offers the great experience to see and track mountain gorillas as well as golden monkeys in Rwanda.

However the situation will benefit Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo since the price for the single gorilla permit is enough to book a private tailor made tours to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Mgahinga National Park and one in Virunga National Park. However, there are several benefits of the gorilla permit increase like the chance to track the entire gorilla family with exclusive park rangers at only $15000 per a trek.

Another exciting offer is that Rwanda offers family travelers who seek for great time and moments together as a group. Imagine tracking a particular gorilla family alone with your close relatives without any other intruder in the well conserved bamboo forest as you feel the natural surroundings of the jungle and its habitats.

Also travelers visiting other Rwanda national parks like Akagera National Park and Nyungwe Forest for a minimum of 3 days will get a 30% discount on their Rwanda gorilla permit. However, this offer works best for travelers interested in tracking mountain gorillas, chimpanzees and game viewing. If you also planning to visit Rwanda for a conference and also do the gorilla trek, be ready to get your 15% discount on your gorilla permit.

Other activity fees in Volcanoes National Park like golden monkey trekking, Dian Fossey Hike and Volcano hiking never changed.

There is also good news to the local community living adjacent to the park. Good news also goes to the nearby communities close to Volcanoes National Park will receive 10% instead of the initial 5%. This will improve and develop many community projects that will benefit the community today and tomorrow. Water supply systems, hospitals, schools, business centers are the main target for community development programs under Rwanda Development Board.

Ms. Clare Akamanzi the Chief Executive Officer at Rwanda Development Board said that “gorilla trekking is a highly unique experience. We have raised the price of permits in order to ensure sustainability of conservation initiatives and enhance visitors’ experience. We also want to make sure that the communities living near the park area receive a bigger share of tourism revenues to fund development projects and empower them economically.”

To make luxury tours a success, several new luxury Rwanda lodges have been opened in Musanze. These include Bisate Lodge and the One and Only Gorilla’s Nest Lodge.

Silversea Cruises Have Just Launched Silver Muse

0
East Africa Parks

Silversea Cruises have just launched Silver Muse, a newly built ship accommodating 596 guests. She is slightly larger than Silver Spirit at 40,700 GRT and has 8 decks with 411 crew members.

The decor on board is discreet elegance, with a palette of natural tones enhancing the luxurious look, with no bling anywhere! There are eight dining venues on Silver Muse, the most for any Silversea ship offering a wide selection of flexibility and choice in cuisine and dining styles.

Atlantide offers a great choice of steak and seafood cuisine in a room decorated in warm red tones with custom designed crockery and an inventive menu. You can also dine here for breakfast if you enjoy waiter service. The food in here was delicious and I enjoyed the way the food matched the plates – there was even a garden path and mini vegetable plot – all on one plate – ingenious!

Indochine serves Asian cuisine in a room decorated in green and brown tones, with longer sharing tables and Asian screens to add to the ambience.

Kaiseki is a teppanyaki restaurant, a first for Silversea, and serves inspired meals, along with sushi and sashimi. There is a $60 cover charge here and it’s worth it to see the chefs preparing the dishes in front of you on the teppan grill.

The Relais & Chateaux fine dining restaurant is called La Dame and serves French-style cuisine over an amazing seven courses – it can take up to 2 hours to enjoy this gastronomic feast so plan in plenty of time! Again there is a surcharge of $60 pp.
Le Terrazza is the informal buffet-style dining area for lunch and dinner, and it serves Italian cuisine in the evening. I dined here on my first night and ordered a sharing platter of antipasti – wow what a selection of traditional Italian foods! I then opted for pappardelle and finally a rhum baba. The food looked incredible and tasted just as good!

New for Silversea and debuting on Silver Muse is a pizza restaurant called Spaccanapoli. I had lunch here and the service was great, and the bespoke pizza-oven cooked our pizzas to perfection.

Out on the pool deck is the pool bar and grill that offers an extensive menu of burgers, hot dogs, wraps and salads. In the evening this turns into the Hot Rocks dining, where you can cook your own meats and seafood on heated lava slabs.

And of course, there is always room service and in-suite dining served course-by-course by your butler!

Most of the suites on Silver Muse are all the same size and are all Veranda Suites. Our suite was really spacious, with twin TV’s appearing behind mirrors, large balcony, walk-in closet, sitting area, and lots of plug sockets. The fridge was stocked with beers and soft drinks and there is a choice of pillow types and toiletries. The Silver Muse has 34 Silver Suites, more than any of the other ships in the fleet, two Grand Suites, two Owners Suites and two Royal Suites.

Public rooms include the Dolce Vita Lounge and bar, which includes the tours and reception desk at one end and a piano and bar at the other. The Venetian Lounge is where the lectures and evening shows are held, including a brand new show called “Blues Brother and Soul Sister”.

The Zagara Spa is the beauty salon and barber shop that leads to a plunge pool out on the deck. There is also a small casino and a cabaret lounge called Silver Note that also serves tapas style food.

There is a new venue for Silversea called Arts Cafe that serves morning pastries, coffees and light snacks, and opens out to an open-air seating area. Of course, there’s the usual gift shop, card room and cigar lounge. The Panorama Lounge offers excellent views and transforms into the nightclub for those who enjoy a bit of a dance in the evening!

The pool deck has lots of sun loungers surrounding a very large pool, with two whirlpools at one end. There is also an Observation lounge on the top deck.

The Silver Muse is a very elegant ship and is very different from their competitors in way of décor. The colour palette features beige tones and warm colours complimented with light woods. There are a lot of artworks sourced from Italian artists placed throughout the ship. There is lots of space on board, and lots of hidden places to discover and watch the world go by. The Atrium staircase is elegant and its sensual curves are certainly photogenic.

Silver Muse is a beautiful and classy ship offering excellent cuisine and service, in elegant surroundings.
