Festivals Acadiens et Creoles
Celebrate the rhythm of Cajun and Creole life at Festivals Acadiens et Créoles in Lafayette, the heart of French Louisiana. Dance to a traditional waltz. Two-step to the upbeat rhythms of accordions, fiddles and ti fers (triangles). Step back in time as traditional crafters demonstrate their artistry. Festivals Acadiens et Créoles pays tribute to the Cajun and Creole cultures with a combination of FREE festivals. Held the second full weekend in October!

Festival International de Louisiane
Festival International de Louisiane is the largest Francophone (French speaking) festival in the United States. This FREE Festival began in 1986, and has been held every year since, in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana. Music, dancing, cuisine, theater, cooking demonstrations, storytelling, visual arts, crafts, and street animation create a major cultural festival experience that is truly unique and memorable.

A part of the Lafayette musical community since 1982, the LCB is Acadiana's premiere adult community band comprised of 75 talented woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalists. Members come together on Tuesday evenings to rehearse from late August through June and perform concerts throughout the year.

The home of the “Rendez-Vous des Cajuns” Radio Show, the Liberty Center for the Performing Arts is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been included in the Great American Movie Theaters Preservation Press Guide published by the Smithsonian. Every Saturday Night from 6 to 7:30 p.m., the theater presents a live radio show, featuring both Cajun and Zydeco music in the Grand Old Opry/Louisiana Hayride/Prairie Home Companion format.
