Festival Acadiens Itinerary

Cajun and Zydeco music, Cajun and Creole food, native Louisiana crafts and a two-steppin' good time are on the menu of the largest Cajun festival in the world! This annual festival is held in October in historic downtown Lafayette, beautiful Girard Park, and at the Lafayette Natural History Museum.

Day 1 - Friday: Full day of touring.

  • 12 noon - Brown bag lunch in downtown Lafayette with live Cajun music.
  • 5:00 p.m. - Downtown Alive!, a fais-do-do (street dance) in the historic downtown area.

Day 2 - Saturday: Half day of touring.

  • 1:00 p.m. - Arrive at Festival site. Visit the Bayou Food Festival where you'll find food booths featuring the area's best Cajun and Creole foods. Visit the Festival de Musique Acadienne featuring Cajun and Zydeco music, and the Louisiana Crafts Festival featuring handcrafted items, crafts demonstrations and performances.

Day 3 - Sunday: Festival hours 10:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; or enjoy full day of touring including brunch at an area restaurant.
