Cajun Spiced Gaming Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Lafayette mid-afternoon. Depart for a fun-filled evening of live thoroughbred horse racing (April-Labor Day). Experience wonderful Cajun cuisine in the clubhouse while enjoying a panoramic view of horses thundering past the finish line. Between races, enjoy a continuous lineup of live simulcast races from many of the top tracks across the country.
Day 2: Depart Lafayette for Cypress Bayou Casino in Charenton (45 miles South of Lafayette) where you can enjoy over 850 of the loosest slot machines in Louisiana in addition to some great table games. Take a lunch break in Cafe Bayou where you'll experience tantalizing Cajun cuisine at its finest. Return to Lafayette that evening for dinner and dancing at one of our "lip smacking, toe tapping" Cajun or Creole restaurants/dancehalls. Free transportation from Lafayette to Cypress Bayou Casino is available on Casino Coaches from two convenient locations.
Day 3-option #1: Depart for Marksville, the northern most part of Cajun Country, where you'll enjoy "two football fields of fabulous fun" at Grand Casino Avoyelles. Have lunch at one of their two great restaurants.
Day 3-option #2: Depart for Grand Casino-Coushatta in Kinder, a land-based with five restaurants including fine dining, live entertainment, children's activity center, and player's club.
Day 3-option #3: Spend the day at Baton Rouge's riverboat casino and entertainment complexes, Argosy of Baton Rouge and Casino Rouge, both conveniently located on the Mississippi River near the State Capitol Building.
Day 3-option #4: Depart for Lake Charles for gaming aboard riverboats on the lake.
Day 3-option #5: "Had enough gambling?" Stay in Lafayette for a day of sightseeing - Cajun Style!
