Blue Dog Café combines traditional Cajun fare with a dining experience that allows you to view the works of George Rodrigue. Attorney Steve Santillo  got into the restaurant business after helping broker the deal based on the concept of combining great food with great art. The immediate gratification of seeing pleased patrons was all it took to convince him to quit his day job and get into the hospitality industry, that and his love for food.

"From festivals to performances, everyone goes to the Dog" is a fitting catch phrase the restaurant has come to embrace. You are welcome at the Blue Dog Cafe whether you show up in shorts or an evening gown. The owner and wait staff will make you feel right at home in the gallery-style dining room, where diners are encouraged to walk around and view the art on display. Chef Bill Schwann combines traditional Cajun entrees with creativity to spice up the menu. Seafood Wontons are one of their signature items as well as Eggs Benedict served over a crab cake topped with hollandaise sauce that disappears rather quickly from their vast Sunday brunch buffet.

On Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evenings diners enjoy live music. The music is lively on Sundays and you may even see some patrons dancing a waltz or two-step amongst the tables between visits to the buffet. If that does not suit your taste you are welcome to dine in the courtyard for a more quiet dining experience.

The Sunday brunch is no ordinary buffet and consists of about ten entrees, a prime rib carving station, made-to-order omelets and waffles, smoked salmon and bagels, seafood [Bisque][Bisque]

, croissants to die for, and a wide array of desserts for anyone that may still have room. Blue Dog Café appeals to the eyes and the taste buds and can leave you feeling, well, anything but blue.
